WH40k - Mortifactors - Bike Squadron WIP

The Mortifactors Space Marine Army WIP keeps on rollin' and in this post we take a look at the two (and three) wheeled steel horses of death that are the Mortifactors Bike Squadron...

First up is the Squadron Sergeant and to help distinguish his rank, his bike has been given the addition of the the old GW Chaplain winged bike fairing. He also sports a Combi-Melta, perfect for those armour busting drive by shootings and his backpack has had the stabilising vents customised with skull motifs.

'Bikes don't leak oil, they mark their territory...'

Next up are the Squadron's two 'standard' biker brothers, both equipped with Melta Guns and carrying a selection of conversions, including the addition of Imperial Aquilla symbols, skull motifs and extra bike stowage...

'Say hello to my lil' friend...'

Finally we have the Squadron's Multi Melta toting Attack Bike...

The most obvious conversion here is the addition of the new sidecar fairing and gunner shield plate. Following the original line of the base, the fairing was constructed up from plasti-card with the addition of a thinner strip cut and glued into place for the armour plate edging and rounded off with the addition of an Imperial Aquilla. The gunner shield itself was taken from the Land Raider Crusader kit. The model has also been given a custom fit base, made by cutting, filing and attaching around a 1/3 of a large round base to each end of a 60mm square base.

'Did you remember to pack the beer?'

Well, that's another Fast Attack slot sorted out for the boys and one that with the addition of all that Melta, will be able to provide a swift response for dealing serious amounts of super-heated death to any enemy armour it comes across...

Until next time.
