Dark Future - Sanctioned Op: Lone Wolf

Dark Future Cars

There's something about the long hot summer that calls to the road warrior. It was around this time last year that I painted up the Renegade car belonging to those desert doom mongers, the Maniax...

Left unchecked and unopposed, the Maniax have run riot, sowing fear and death across great swathes of the Painted Desert. But now, as the sun begins to set, a sharp wind blows from the north and a lone predator watches from the horizon. Little do the Maniax know, but a day of reckoning is coming. A reckoning driven by the roar of a V12 and the fire from a smoking barrel. The Wolf prepares to strike...

The 'Lone Wolf' is the V12 Interceptor of Sanctioned Op, Arden Adams. And whilst licensed, Adams isn't directly affiliated to any one specific Corporation, instead preferring to freelance his services to the highest bidder. A man of strong morals and few words, Adam's originally hailed from the wilds of north Montana. His work however, has seen him increasingly venture south, down through the Rocky Mountains and eventually settling within the fortified walls of Salt Lake City. From here, his contracts have brought him into increased contact with the Maniax Gang...

With over seventeen successful contracts to date and a kill ratio to be feared, Adam's is fast becoming the Op of choice for many a private contractor and the hero of the prime time cable news networks...

Until next time...

  1. Wow that's a really old game. I still have some of the original novels and some of the second generations. Those look like the original models from the game as well.

What a vintage model collection and a nice, paint job.

    1. Cheers john. I managed to pick up a mint copy of DF on eBay for under £40... It was too good to pass up and it provides some real nostalgia on my formative gaming days :). I'm working through the painting models as and when the inspiration strikes - they provide a nice change of pace from the other models currently on the work bench...

  3. Hi there,

I'm glad I've inspired you to start your own blog, that's pretty darn cool :) Cerberus Gaming News is looking good. I like your Dust Tactics articles; It's one of those games that's interested me over the years, especially with those great looking minis...

It may be worth adding a 'Follow Me' widget so that readers can track your posts and be notified of your latest articles. Other than that, looking good, keep up the good work!

Re: DF - Cheers for the offer - very kind of you. I'll be honest, I've already got quite a bit of DF knocking about on the 'to do' list - but if it needs a home and a paint job that'll do it proud, keep me posted :)

    Cheers, Tuz
